What does endo-exo prosthetics mean?
The terms “endo” and “exo” come from Greek and mean “inside” and “outside.” In this technique, a power carrier is firmly anchored in the bone and brought out transcutaneously, i.e., through the skin. Conventional prosthetics can then be easily attached to this connection. In Germany, this method is only offered sporadically, but our collaboration with the Endo-Exo Competence Center Rostock provides access to many years of experience. The Competence Center combines Rostock University Medical Center, a certified clinic for endo-exo integration, and our partner company, Orthopädie-Technik Scharpenberg.
